Committee on Ministries 2010 Survey of the Community Pillar: Full Report
Committee mission
The mission of the Committee on Ministries (COM) is to advocate for a healthy and energetic shared ministry throughout the broad context of congregational life. COM exists to see, hear, and love our congregation into engaged ministry.
Based on the congregation's vision and goals of the Board and Minister, the committee is responsible for monitoring the pulse of church activity in ministry to self, ministry to each other and ministry to society. To ensure leadership is focused on activity most meaningful to our members, our Board of Trustees' organizational structure is aligned in this manner as well: Spirituality (self), Community (each other), Outreach (society).
COM, as a free-standing committee reporting to the Board of Directors, is charged with evaluating all aspects of ministries at our church and will communicate to the congregation throughout the year and in a year-end summary report.
Any member of COM is available for confidential discussion of issues that affect you and your relationship with the church, its programs, the Minister or the congregation. We can help start conversations, answer questions, locate resources or communicate ideas. Reach us at This email address is being protected from spambots.
