Pastoral Ministry

DUUC has a team of lay members of the church trained to be Pastoral Ministry Associates (PMAs). They assist Emmy Lou in extending the care of the church, through one-to-one caring and helping activities to members who are in special need. Special needs might include:
        • Major life changes such as birth, adoption, loss of job, divorce, retirement
        • Death of a family member or friend
        • Health problems, illness or hospitalization
        • Isolation because of age, mobility problems, disability, or other factors
        • Follow-up and maintenance after crisis intervention and counseling by the minister or other
          trained professional.
