A Typical Sunday

Listen to a service on WCPT's "Food for the Soul."

VISITORS are encouraged to arrive about 15 minutes before the start of service to find parking, stop at the Welcome Table, and make their way to the Sanctuary to find a seat. Beginning June, 2012, construction for our new Sanctuary will impact the availability of parking. Find out about alternate parking and construction.

SEPTEMBER to JUNE - services at 9:30 am and 11:15 am. From early September until early June our church holds two worship services (check our home page for dates, details and holiday exceptions). The services, at 9:30 am and 11:15 am, are held in the Sanctuary at the top of the stairs on the south end of the church.  Worship typically lasts an hour and consists of a welcoming announcement and community news, music, a sharing of Joys & Concerns, sermon, and closing.

During both services, children's programming is available for infants through 8th grade.  The High School Youth Group meets during the 11:15 am service. Advance registration is not required; everyone is welcome. Children are also welcome to attend the service, if they wish, though most usually prefer to attend the children's programming.

There are also several times during the year when children join with the rest of the congregation and all ages worship together, plus times when a Children's Chapel is held instead of class. During Children's Chapel, 1st through 6th graders gather in Kreves Hall at the beginning of the class period for an hour-long service and children have a chance to share in worship with each other. These services are led by the Director of Religious Education with the aim to provide for the spiritual needs of children. Each service includes a chalice lighting ritual, hymns, joys and concerns, readings and a short story, message or reflection. Check our home page or the latest newsletter to see if an all-ages service or Children's Chapel is coming up.

After both worship services, congregants typically share coffee and conversation in the main social area, Kreves Hall, just beyond our entrance doors.

SUMMER MONTHS - service at 10:00 am. In the summertime we hold just one service at 10am.  During the hot summer months, we usually meet in air-conditioned Kreves Hall.
